CODE OF CONDUCT

    Comodo Textiles, Intl. offers products and quality at the best price. Quality also means that our products must be manufactured mainly as a social function and protecting the environment as well. We have a responsibility towards everyone who contributes to our success. We are therefore committed to working closely with our employees, customers and suppliers to achieve a long-term, sustainable, relationship, having the best environment in our facilities where our products are manufactured.

    We base our practices essentially from the core values of our Institution and  on international agreed standards such as a the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, ILO Conventions(International Labor Organization), as well as the Legislation of the Republic of El Salvador.

    Under Age- Comodo Textiles, Intl. recognizes the rights of every child; a person is a child under the age of 18. Furthermore, we recognize the rights of every child to be protected from economic exploitation. Comodo Textiles, Intl. will not hire persons under age.

    Forced Labor– Comodo Textiles, Intl. will not allow and will not request any employee the use of forced labor, prison labor, indentured labor or bonded labor, or permit their suppliers and sub-contractors to do so.

    We are all equal- Every employee shall be treated with respect and dignity. Under no circumstances do we accept the use of humiliating or corporal punishment, and no employee should subject to physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse.

    Freedom of Association- All employees have the right to form or join associations of their own choosing, and to bargain collectively. Comodo Textiles, Intl. does not accept disciplinary or discriminatory actions against employees who choose to peacefully and lawful organize  or join an association.

    Wages and Benefits– Everyone who works has the right to just and favorable  remuneration ensuring for himself and his family an existence worthy of human dignity. Comodo Textiles, Intl. shall pay and recognize the minimum wage required by the law regardless of whether we pay by bonus, achievement or by hours and will provide legally mandated benefits established by the Legislation of the Republic of El Salvador.

    Working Hours – Ordinary hours must not exceed the legal limit and shall never exceed the 44 hours per week. Overtime hours must not exceed the numbers allowed by the law of the Republic of El Salvador. Except under extraordinary business circumstances.  Employees should be entitled to no less than one day off in every seven day period.

    Employment– All employees shall entitle to a written employment contract, in the local language, stipulating the employment terms and conditions. Comodo Textiles, Intl. has the responsibility to ensure that all employees are  aware of their legal rights and obligations.

    Nondiscrimination- Comodo Textiles, Intl. shall not subject any employee or job candidate during employment for his occupation, sex, race, color, age, pregnancy, sexual orientation, religion, political opinion, nationality or ethnic origin.

    Health and Safety– Comodo Textiles, Intl. shall provide  a safe and healthy working environment. A place where the safety should not put to risk. Comodo Textiles, Intl. shall provide an optimal workplace for our employees including potable water, adequate lighting and ventilation, and clean and sanitary restrooms with rest facilities in numbers to fulfill employee´s needs.

    Legal and Ethical Business Practices– Comodo Textiles, Intl. recognize and shall fully comply with all the laws and applicable regulations mandated and established by the Legislationof the Republic of El Salvador as well as International Laws including, but no limited, those relating wages, hours, labor, health and safety.
